A Ruby Ridge happens in Americas Ghetto's every week and no one cares

I was just thinking about the New York Times Ruby Ridge video I posted a few days ago and how that incident changed the way the FBI handles situations with white separatist idiots and how it is influencing what is happening in Oregon. However, it just occurred to me that pretty much every few days I see a story about a Black or Hispanic kid getting killed in a raid in the city and no one gives a shit. There are a hundred stories like this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/17/aiyana-stanley-jones-joseph-weekley-trial_n_5824684.html Not to mention Randy Weaver was a racist piece of shit who sent his little boy out with a gun to fight the FBI. WTF?

That being said, there should be a lot fewer Ruby Ridges and dead kids in the Ghetto because of botched police raids.

Here is the video where everyone in Washington DC kicks into gear to move mountains and change legislation to prevent another Ruby Ridge in the future yet when Tamir Rice gets shot holding a BB gun everyone seems to suggest the blacks just need to calm down and no one moves a finger to change policy. Not even anything about how 911 calls are communicated to officers:

3. Weaver didn't send his son out to fight the FBI.

The Federal Marshals were doing covert surveillance to support an arrest and got the attention of a dog. The weavers heard the dog and thought it was a deer and father, friend, and son went out to get it because they were out of meat. The dog ran up to the marshals and one of them shot it to silence it right in front of the boy. The boy, being a child and not making fully thought out decisions fired at the marshals but missed in anger over the dog. One marshal's return fire round hit the boy in the arm and he turned and ran while the family friend with him shot dead a marshal with a single round from a bolt action rifle to defend the boy. Another marshal hit the boy with a burst of fire in the back and killed him.

The infamous part of the standoff was that leadership at the ATF/FBI didn't realize that the firefight was just a screwup and changed the rules of engagement to shoot on sight any adults. This led to the death of the mother who was shot through a door. It was that factor that the FBI report highlighted as a major error and changed how they handle these cases.

4. Oh yes he did, Weaver -- a racist, illegal gun trafficker -- was given months to surrender.

Instead he hid behind his wife and children. If Weaver had not sold illegal guns to the Ayran Nation, nothing would have happened.

I do not understand why people support this racist, illegal gun trafficking criminal who was given months to come out of his compound but choose to hide behind his wife and kids. Well, I do get why many gun fanciers support Weaver.

7. Has anyone on DU supported Weaver?

Because I haven't seen anyone support him. On the other hand, report the facts as compiled by the FBI itself...

I'll note that this is yet another of your sad attempts to smear anyone who disagrees with you or corrects your often wildly inaccurate posts as a racist, etc. It really is pathetic Hoyt. Juror's take note - this poster has a habit of accusations that are wildly over the top.

5. Racist anti-gub'mint idiots see it differently

Ruby Ridge is, to them, an example of a tyrannical federal agency run amok, exerting its ivory tower agenda over the good people of the United States. Since they often reject the fed's authority (while happily accepting federal payouts), they feel that any fed involvement is unacceptable. They said the same about Waco.

But the way they see it, a cop is an agent of the community and therefore has authority to act unilaterally at the local level, even if it means murdering an innocent child in front of his family. With this in mind (supplemented with no little amount of racism), they can excuse any number of blue-on-black deaths, while a handful of white deaths even 20 years ago is still a fresh abomination for them.

Madness.

...took place during the Presidency of Bush I.

RW radio and Fox and the rest of them have tried to claim it was under Clinton.

That lying narrative might still fit the anti-government ideology, but at least they can't say it's the Democrats.
