Good idea. March 1st will decide most of the race for both parties.

With his "Duck Dynasty" ad and "New York values" Cruz is clearly painting himself as the candidate of the South. His evangelical ties will help and will do him well in Iowa, but Iowa (for both races is almost inconsequential other than news coverage) - Let's remember Santorum tied for the Iowa win with Romney in 2012.

"New York values" serves two purposes. One - Trump is a YANKEE. That still works especially with their base. Two - it's basically the same as "New York's Upper East side" which means JEWS. it's not even a dog hustle at this point and that also still works in the South.

Cruz is from Texas (sort of) which considers itself part of the South .... when it wants to.

"SEC Primary" is a college football reference to you Godless non-football fans. . March 1st - Al Abama, Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, Tenn, Virginia, Oklahoma (with Vermont and Mass No. Dakota Alaska) which dont all have teams in the SEC but they have a lot in common.

Jews; upper-east-side is actually the last stand of the WASPs (white anglo saxon protestants) in NYC. Trump is a perfect example of a WASP: old money non-Catholic/Mormon northeasterners of British and Nordic descent. While Cruz's views on most things are awful, he is no anti-Semite; his defense of Jews at IDC was beautiful and moved me to tears.
