Snyder makes surprise visit in Flint (insert eye roll here)

Seriously? He ignores the city he poisoned for 18 months, and now we can't keep him out!!!

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -
Mayor Karen Weaver said she was as shock as anyone to see Gov. Rick Snyder in Flint on Friday.

“It was actually a surprise visit we did not know he would be coming today to the meeting,” Weaver said.

This comes on the heels of Snyder’s request for a federal declaration of an emergency and an expedited major disaster for Genesee County.

“I think everything that's happened has convinced him," Weaver said. "It was people talking, the pastors talking, it's the scientific community and the talks we've had, that's what we have been working on. Flint deserves more than what we've gotten.”

FLINT, Mich. (WXYZ) - The 7 Investigators have learned an office at Flint City Hall was broken into and ransacked sometime before or after Christmas.

A window was smashed, allowing the burglar into an office filled with public works documents.

“When we came in and with the window being broken like that, and papers being thrown all over the floor, it was a mess,” said Flint Mayor Karen Weaver.

There are security cameras at city hall, but they were not working in the area of the break-in.

The city says they don’t know exactly what documents were there to begin with, so they can’t say what may have been taken.

But from the outside, the office appears to have papers, and one that says ‘Public Works’.

There was a big gathering in Lansing, on Thursday, and I think another few bus loads are headed down, again, on Tuesday, but I don't have any link for that, right now. I heard it from my brother, who was at the Thursday protest.
