(14,177 posts)she would never poison children. And I think she might be able to fix that state. It is very sad to me to see Michigan crumbling. It is the state I grew up in and it was bad when I left as a young adult. Now, it is much much worse.

(56,177 posts)Thing is, Snyder and most Repukes would never make such a promise.

(14,177 posts)But, think she would go with "Let's rebuild this" in Detroit. And that would help the rest of the state. Also I have said this for over 30 years, I was just barely done with high school, that Michigan needs to diversify its economic base.

(26,251 posts)Once Rachel got wind of this situation, she brought it up on almost every show, for updates. She has been amazing. Unfortunately, MSNBC isn't the biggest news source, for most people. But I am sure it is her work that finally triggered more coverage in the traditional news media (NBC, CBS, ABC)
I was surprised it to Michael Moore so long to get this vocal.

(26,251 posts)I know Michael isn't back here, much, since his father died so I cut him some slack. I'm just glad he's helping to bring attention to this issue, now.

(26,251 posts)I've known Michael, in a casual way, for decades. Flint is pretty much one of his biggest passions and that's what I love about him.

(57,936 posts)Let's just stop electing Republicans, and then let's start holding Democrats up to the highest standards possible.
The Flint water crisis is inexcusable. Inexcusable.
Greed. That's what caused that water crisis. The Republicans are tools of greed.
