Will terrorists strike during a huge DC snowstorm?

I always wonder about this...why wouldn't they?

Last night the city was crippled by an inch of snow...

Terrorists could really go nuts - first responders might be stuck or slow...

Visibility issues...

Something to consider...

A lack of high-asset, dramatic targets combined with their (assumed) cost/benefit analysis leads me to believe the only concern of the region on the next few days will be the weather itself.

It's probably not a skill that the ISIS training camps focus on. Most likely they would skid off the road and blow themselves up.

This is of a refugee camp, not DAESH, but shows snow in Syria, Lebanon. Also realize some supporters are in the US and may well have lived in snow and ice for some time, if not a long time.

Toddlers killed more people in the US than terrorists in 2015.

Are you afraid of toddlers? No? Then why are you afraid of terrorists?

The figures I saw were 15.

Still awful, no doubt, and the people that left guns out for them to find should be prosecuted and jailed, but I doubt toddlers killed more people than the Charleston shooter and the San Bernardino shooters.

I'll obviously stand corrected if you can show me otherwise.

Thanks for the link - those are the same numbers I saw, just in a different place.

BTW, it's normally incumbent upon the person making the claim to prove it's valid, rather than expecting the person that doubts the claim to prove it's valid.

WHAT'S TRUE: Broad counts indicate that 21 toddlers shot and killed themselves or others in 2015; 19 Americans died at the hands of potential or suspected Islamic terrorists.

Boy, that's a really weird way of saying terrorists killed more. And it's also really weird that 19 is bigger than 21 now.

BTW, it's normally incumbent upon the person making the claim to prove it's valid, rather than expecting the person that doubts the claim to prove it's valid.

BTW, it's also completely obvious when another poster is fishing for a reason to disregard something they do not want to be true.

14 in San Bernardino + 9 in Charleston = 23?

Or did you miss the part where the article says 21 people were killed by toddlers, but the numbers only add up to 15?

Or did you miss where further down, it includes the 5 people killed by terrorists in Chattanooga, which brings the terrorist total to 28, which is still more than 15 or the mysterious 21?

So tell me again how 15 (or 21) is greater than 28?

Almost everybody will be at home. That's what happens when they hype up a winter storm a week in advance.

Very few people will be on the roads.
Very few people will be at work.
Very few people will be out shopping.

If they somehow manage to take out Netflix or everyone's internet connection then you may have a little bit of panic.

IMHO they don't want to be out in that weather anymore than we do. They could get stuck in traffic (ha!). Besides which, no one will be outside for them to kill. They won't waste good weaponry on empty space.

Thats kind of serious - makes them sitting ducks.

And this next storm is supposed to hit on rush hour, on a Friday...

I doubt everyone will just go home Friday - cancel concerts, bookings etc...

Saturday things will be pretty well shut down...

42 people were killed or injured by terrorist in this country last year; that's 1 in 7,867,878 odds. The odds of getting hit by lightening in this country in any given year, 1 in 960,000,

Don’t Let Them Terrorize You
