Don't have a car..I was out a bit earlier and it was beautiful! what made it difficult was the wind.

The roads were surprisingly clear earlier, but the storm redoubled its efforts. About 18" so far with more to come. Stay safe, everybody.

I stayed home all day. There's more than a foot of snow and it is still falling.
I'm so grateful for my warm dry apartment.

This area did okay during Sandy. A little north of here, where Riverdale meets Yonkers, lost power during Sandy; I hope they don't have a similar problem with this storm.

she doesn't live in Queens anymore, but we have lots of relatives that do. Most are reporting that it's skirting Long Island - it's mainly NYC itself getting screwed.

Wind's still howling and it's still coming down, but it's a vanishgly small chance we'll lose power/heat because of the protected infrastructure.

Just finished a big ol' plate of biscuits and gravy, gonna digest for a bit and then go make snow angels
