Very proud of my home town, Flint, Michigan, tonight. Thank you Rachel Maddow, for the spotlight

As I watch the town hall meeting, I've seen people I know, in the audience, and people I so admire, on the panel. The participants love for their city and it's children and their resentment toward Rick Snyder is palpable, even through the TV air waves.

I want to thank Rachel Maddow for bringing this wonderful human representation of my home town into livingrooms across the nation. People are angry, but not defeated.

And Rachel is right - the people of Flint are strong.

She will keep at it and keep it in the public eye.
I don't think I've ever seen her so emotional about an issue before.

Peace

receives a major award. She previously reported other abuses related to the Michigan GOP's utterly undemocratic takeovers of cities with high minority populations via the "emergency manager" program. Gov. Snyder has hired a PR firm for damage control and has issued statements trying to deflect blame, but Rachel relentlessly points out that this was the direct cause of the catastrophe.

He overlooked any PR firm located in Michigan to hire a very expensive, international firm. What I want to know is, are we, the citizens of Michigan paying for that, or is it coming out of his pocket? Ok, I just cracked myself up.
