while there is no doubt racism is involved with some of this, these militia groups were all riled up under Bill Clinton as well, and if Hillary had won in 2008, we would have gotten much the same, only with sexism instead of racism.

And, I also agree that if this "militia" were black or brown skinned, they'd have been overrun the first day by the National Guard and/or some elite police units. Just have an armed million man march on Washington of black men and you'd suddenly see a lot of Congress shifting their positions on gun control as well - just like when the Black Panthers started carrying guns in the 60s, conservative icon Ronald Reagan signed into law restrictions on guns that he had opposed before.
