It'll be painted as caving from the other candidates. He will be at his own event, being shown live on CNN, where he'll answer the questions as they are asked on fox.

The political landscape is not the same one our father's knew. White America no longer rules. Especially the fringe under educated racist nincompoops Trump is so good at amassing.
No candidate will win national office without majority support of women, black, or Hispanic voters. Period.
Trump is not dense enough not to realize this. This is why he is doing his best to find any excuse to bow out and blame anyone but himself.
He and the rest of us will look back at this episode of American politics and think-What A Waste of Time. He has admitted as much.

This has all been a game for him. He has done a great job of showing how insane the right really is, the voters, the candidates and the whole republican party will pay for it in the long run. He has made it a lot easier for whoever wins the democratic nomination to win in November.

seriously believe that if they motivate their base, impose restrictions on voting (make voting hard for certain groups), control the media, and sling a lot of lies / fear about their opponent... they have a shot at winning.

It's worked in their state wide elections... and that has allowed them to gerrymander congress to gain control of the House... and with the Senate having the same representation for California (37M) as Montana (1M)... they keep the Senate.

If they win this fall... it's the "Last Ride of the Elephant (Princess)" (title of an episode of the funniest TV show ever).

Demographics are against them for the future... however, the disaster that awaits us WITHOUT gridlock in Washington (SCOTUS, abortion, environment, energy, military spending, tax cuts and spending, etc) would take another generation to fix (if even possible).

But I think that's the plan.

That's always been RW focus. Once elected they can do what they want and they have.

Its such a shame so many Americans are apathetic and don't even vote.

Although if he went full WWE, and in the middle of a debate answer, came in from the crowd at the debate with music blaring, then went up to the stage, sat down next to Megyn Kelly, and started asking the other candidates questions, then we have a show.

...I think he's ginning up excuses.

I don't believe his ego could stand coming in second, so if pre-Iowa polling puts Cruz in the lead, he will blame the system for fearing the Donald. If he still thinks he can win, this tantrum is how he keeps the rubes saying his name.

It's a good positioning either way.

the M$M has been sniffing his butt the whole time. I suppose there might be some 'interesting' behind the scenes footage, but the public stuff has been all over the TV box and I'm sure the internets will remember.

Sounds distressingly like a future 'reality' show.
