(5,586 posts)With the pursed lips. You KNOW he sits in front of the mirror to practice that. Probably for hours.

(1,113 posts)He and Cruz are the only two looking at each other.
Cruz seems to be smiling, and Christie, frowning.

(18,837 posts)What other people have to say about him is out of my control. If he lost a significant amount of weight I would see him as a slim fucking thug. My opinion of him could not be changed by his stepping on a scale.

(42,279 posts)Paul looks like he wants out of there, Christie looks like he wants to punch Cruz and/or Bush, Carson looks asleep, Cruz looks like he is trying to be taller and is tickled to be in the center, rubio looks like a little kid happy to be with the big boys, Bush is trying to look like the cool kid (and failing, miserably) and Kasick looks like he'd like to get away from bush. (But then, the original plan was a Bush-Kasick ticket and that just ain't gonna happen and Kasick hasn't the charisma to ever be first on the ticket).

(102,225 posts)I'd thought he'd had a gastric procedure which should have led to significant weight loss? I'm surprised he does not appear to have lost much (or any). I may not like him or his politics, but I do wish him success on that score.

(5,810 posts)Not sure how long ago that was....maybe two years? He did appear to lose weight for a while but as all of us who have struggled with weight issues know, keeping the pounds off is difficult. With bariatric surgery, you must follow the dietary/lifestyle changes forever or you risk regaining any weight you lost. I have known at least a couple of people who had bariatric surgery and successfully lost significant amounts of weight and kept the majority of it off.
Christie has been on the campaign trail for months. If he has not been sticking to his weight loss plan, chances are good he regained most if not all of what he lost. I try not to judge anyone about weight issues since I have dealt with the problem since my 40s. He certainly wanted to slim down if he would subject himself to surgery in order to lose weight....a procedure not without risk...including death.

(13 posts)He's a bigger jerk than I am. Brain-wise, not weight-wise, I could sit on him and probably... where are my peanuts, I hope I didn't forget my peanuts.

Wow, that must have hurt him in the polls.
No, up 2 points.
