*Breaking* *Unreliable sources* *Dynamite*: Cruz sent out threatening GOTV letters in Iowa.

Last edited Sat Jan 30, 2016, 07:14 AM - Edit history (3)

“You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors’ are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday’s caucuses”.

The source is the conservative treehouse

VOTING VIOLATION? Surely this is a hoax, so who are the ratfuckers? Plumbers? A couple of nerds? Various contributors claim confirmation from the Cruz Campaign. If genuine, Cruz is mince meat.

The notice states the 'information' is based public voter records. The notice also lists turnout of household members and neighbours.

Update: Still no MSM sources. Unlikely to be genuine. RW Ratfucking. Nixon would be impressed.

Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler confirmed to IJ Review that the mailer was theirs in a phone call Friday evening, saying that the targeting had been “very narrow, but the caucuses are important and we want people who haven’t voted before to vote.”

No campaign would send out something so obviously threatening. Cruz et al will disavow any knowledge of it.

4. "Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors’ are public record" remember that everyone

That's why some neighborhoods have attention from state elected and other neighborhoods get poison water.

5. Even in a republican state, that can't be legal.

We all know they're insane.

One of my theories on how/why Obama was elected is the fact that he was so sane and steady and rational. I got the feeling he was going to be himself, state his beliefs, and win or lose, stick to them. He wasn't willing to do or say anything to get elected. I'm seeing the same thing in Bernie and it's resonating. In a sick way, that's working for Trump, too.

We're so tired of politicians who only want to win, at any cost. Criminals.

a threatening misstatement of electoral law. I think the Cruz campaign is being framed. But by who? Guess: kids.

I doubt "kids".

Also, would kids know or care about voter turnout? No, only people running for office care.

with the right paper: Shiny paper, like the ones pictured. If this is from Cruz et al, it will go down as a historic campaign killer. We can hope, but I doubt it.

The whole weekend would be gobbled up. Suicidal stuff. There's no MSM coverage.

Trump might tweet it. Unlikely, but possible.

suspected Cruz is a sociopath, and some of his actions have seemed potentially self-destructive, but this is just unbelievably so.

Otoh, maybe he's decompensating from stress. Bless his heart...

I don't think anything illegal was done. Voting records are public (who you voted for is private though).

Cruz likely killed his chances in Iowa. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see him come in 3rd behind Rubio.

Ted Cruz's presidential ambitions for 2016 are effectively over. There's a several hundred post thread going on about this over at That Other Site.

16. Accusing citizens of "Voting Violations" is a criminal misstatement of State & Federal Law

both false and intimidatory. How is the suggestion that you must vote all that different to you must not vote? Those filthy packages arriving through the front door gave the impression of government communication. Prosecute the bastards!
