Kentucky man may have succeeded in pranking his girlfriend, but he's likely to be deported because of it.
His girlfriend of three years returned home from work to find the door to her apartment kicked in.
She describes finding the apartment in disarray, "I came through-- he had tables flipped over, my chair flipped over. There was blood on the walls."
Finally she found her boyfriend face down on their bed, covered in what she thought was blood, an 8-inch knife stuck in his neck. "I screamed and took off running and went across the street and called the police that my boyfriend was murdered."
She says, "the only time he was hollering it was a joke was when the police came through the door and he had the knife in his hand, he dropped the knife and said it was a prank for my girlfriend because she was a few minutes late from work."
Police weren't laughing and soon discovered the prankster, David Herrera-Giminez had an active warrant for a failure to appear.
Now he sits in jail, facing deportation to Mexico.

(3,967 posts)what could he possibly have been thinking? even without the deportation possibility, this is an absolutely idiotic thing. did he think she would be relieved that he wasn't dead, break out laughing, hug and kiss him, and never come home late from work again?
idiot. Poor Mexico.

(56,582 posts)She had one of those suction cup dart guns, and on the side of the darts she had the print shop print "Felonious Stupidity".
She would have no qualms about sticking those darts to people's foreheads. This guy could probably do with one.

One of my friends is an aspiring comedian, and he enjoys telling an anecdote about a gifted character actor who delivered a famously incisive line about playing comic roles while lying on his deathbed. A visitor approached the actor who was ill in a hospital and said sympathetically, This must be very difficult for you. The actor lifted his head, smiled weakly, and disagreed saying No. No. It is not too bad. He then spoke the classic apothegm:
Dying is easy. Comedy is difficult.

That line or something similar has been attributed to a lot of folks, but it sure seems appropriate for this feller.
