it would be the most brazen and audacious dirty trick ever pulled in American politics. Lee Atwater would be spinning in his grave because he didn't think of it first.

Of course it's a load of shit to even consider this because the logistics to pull something like this off with a narcissistic whacko like Trump holding the cards is totally impossible. Damn though, it would be something.

Let's say this is true. Trump is not forcing the GOP to vote for him. He is not forcing GOP politicians to endorse him. If they did not like and agree with what they were hearing; Trump would be pulling in Jeb's numbers. Instead he is on a course to be the GOP nominee.
