I am also okay with Julian Castro. My fear is that she might choose to solidify her independent base and choose someone like Joe Manchin. :/

(12,754 posts)Pick a running mate who is smarter, more honest, and more likeable than she is. It's all about her.

(12,723 posts)OK, to be fair she might just be smart, but the last two are going to be a challenge. A challenge that I don't think will matter because she isn't going to win the nomination.

That's one smart lady.
Remember the argument Warren had with Obama several months ago about whether an organization like the WTO "could force us to change our laws"? Remember?

(3,569 posts)EW needs to stay in the limelight, setting policy. As Veep she'dlose any effectiveness she has. Not to mention losing one of the only progressive voices we have in Congress would be devastating.
Lyric
(12,675 posts)Not sure how that could be a bad thing.
ghostsinthemachine
(3,569 posts)By speaking out as senator. As Veep nobody gets to say anything. Look at been. Has he been visible for the last 8 years? No.
Lyric
(12,675 posts)Consider his position as VP to the first black President. It would be disrespectful to draw attention to himself, considering the historic circumstances.

Lyric
(12,675 posts)Clinton could pretty much pick whoever she wants if the alternative is Trump. He scares the crap out of independent voters.
So if we're gonna make history again, why not make it HUGE and make it HERstory?

Lyric
(12,675 posts)If Clinton died in office, who would you want to replace her? Isn't that the most important thing about a VP? That they be the most capable person to take over if the President dies?
Arazi
(6,829 posts)(like HRC) Then so too will she. Presidential candidates are huge narcissists. She'll want someone who will share her vision and build on that
Not blow it up as soon as she's gone
Besides, E Warren would never accept such a role - it would make her complicit in the corruption, something she's adamantly opposed to. The Clintons are dirty. They've mastered the corrupt game. E Warren will shun them completely
Baobab
(4,667 posts)>Lol, Elizabeth Warren would NEVER in a million years serve as HRC's VP
>They are ideologically 180 degrees apart
The reason we cant be at that table is the fact that we re ON it being carved up.
Mark my words, Hillary is not somebody we want in charge. Not after whats shes already done. And I am NOT talking about the last few years as much as the 90s.
THEY LIE, AMERICANS DIE.
With Hillary, our country's goose is almost cooked and she is one of he chefs..

But now I realize, Hillary was actually remote-controlling all three of them all along.

Right now she's our only hope in the senate..
She can run in 2020 to oust "The Donald" with Sherrod Brown as veep
