Mitch McConnell must have been choking on these words -




"Let me make it perfectly clear, Senate Republicans condemn David Duke [and] the KKK," he said. Regarding Trump's comments, McConnell added: "That is not the view of Republicans that have been elected to the United States Senate."


Yeah, right, Mitch. We can all hear the stage whisper, "Unless we're talking about the black guy in the White House. Then it's fine."

Act. If you remember the GOP signed it every time it expired with some wonderful speech about how everyone should be treated equally, blah, blah, blah. Well, when scotus struck down part 2 and congress needed to authorize another VRA bill the Republicans refused to sign.

I wonder if the klan controversy could be leveraged to force a vote on VRA reauthorization? If I were a Dem party boss I'd be polling to see the reaction of voters to a commercial that linked the klan and racism with the GOP refusal to reauthorize the VRA. I think it would work.

If that isn't the truth. It's a shame how they screwed America out of their racist behavior to do whatever it takes.
