(9,457 posts)Act. If you remember the GOP signed it every time it expired with some wonderful speech about how everyone should be treated equally, blah, blah, blah. Well, when scotus struck down part 2 and congress needed to authorize another VRA bill the Republicans refused to sign.
I wonder if the klan controversy could be leveraged to force a vote on VRA reauthorization? If I were a Dem party boss I'd be polling to see the reaction of voters to a commercial that linked the klan and racism with the GOP refusal to reauthorize the VRA. I think it would work.
