When my cousin posted that Bernie will give us Cuba:

I posted: Cuba is communism: state ownership of means of production etc... Democratic socialism is capitalism plus community or worker ownership where there is collective agreement on how to use the profits of a business. Pure capitalism and unregulated global capitalism will destroy the earth. The end game of capitalism is that it will eat or destroy itself because nothing else matters but profit at any cost: polluted waters land and air and no government or group can stop it. Who pays for our ruined waterways? Depleted uneatable fish? Sick asmatic children made sick by corporate ability to destroy the earth air and water and not pay for it? We are in the phase of vulture capitalism, read: The Shock Doctrine. Something needs to give. A new paradigm not old ways of thinking about the earth, people and the purpose of an economy that works needs to be developed. We are in a new Information Age no longer an Industrial Age. We need new ideas that won't destroy us and the planet

She's already basically said 'No' to anything new. Sanders is the one in the race proposing newer things, bigger things. Clinton has consistently said, 'No, we can't do that' and, when she has suddenly started talking about anything new, has only ever been proposing the same thing Sanders was already, only much smaller. He backs $15 minimum wages, she backs $12. He unapologetically opposes the trade deal that will ship more American jobs overseas, she pushes it forever, then realizes Americans don't want it and does an about face to proclaim she too is opposed to it. He says healthcare and colleges should be paid for for every American through combined public dollars, she proposes smaller, partial, more limited programs.

The only 'new ideas' I've ever seen from her are 'Let's attack Iraq. Let's attack Libya. Let's attack Syria.' And those are new ideas I could do without.

although I would stress that Democratic Socialism is more like Social Democracy - with a mixed economy.
