Mitt Romney bashing him won't sink him. Point out all his fraud and business failures and inconsistences won't. Being endorsed by the KKK and White Supremacists won't.
No, none of that which might appeal to normal thinking, rational minded people would work.
But there is one way, one special way, where Donald Trump's support would no doubt sink like a rock.

President Obama should come out and endorse Trump.
I say if Trump's the nominee, the day after the convention, President Obama should endorse him. Trump's racist, bat-shit followers would be running around like ants who've lost their queen.

(4,756 posts)Endorse it, put his name on it, "Obama Trade", and it will be done. And any Republican that supports TPP bash them with "they is in with Obama". Run super-pac ads against R's that support and vote for TPP and let their citizens know. Bash them with their own BS.

(1,089 posts)and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and Dan Savage and... you get the point. It's all identity politics for the morons who worship at the feet of King Orange the Fascist. Let them know that they identify with the brown people, the gays, etc. Faux Noise would have a field day with that and that campaign would implode.

(43,155 posts)Although I honestly think Slappy the Dummy's the more beatable candidate of the two, if only because he's burned just about ever bridge imaginable (including within his own party) and the support he'd get would be very lukewarm at best.
And he doesn't command that inexplicable Svengali type of influence over people like Trump does.
Of course neither is anything we would want to see in the White House, but that goes without saying.
