Donald Trump Calls Mitt Romney ‘Irrelevant’ ‘Choke Artist’

Donald Trump unleashed a tirade against Mitt Romney at his campaign rally this afternoon in Portland, Maine, saying the former presidential candidate held back from running this time around because of him.

“So when Mitt started raising his head a few months ago, I was very strong," Trump said. "I said, Mitt Romney should not run. He's a choke artist.”

Trump also suggested that Romney may still have a desire to run.

“I heard Mitt Romney made a fairly long speech," he said. "I’ll just address it quickly because it’s irrelevant."

It would have been smarter for Trump not to take the bait, but he just can't help himself.

because Trump just seems to keep getting stronger. Turnout numbers we're seeing in the primaries are very worrying.

Trump runs on his track record of success then dismisses the people he backed as losers. Never really was able to deflect the major blows Romney leveled against him. The civil war is in full bloom. From TV to op eds, to talk radio there is a major split in the party. There are the people that are suckered by Trumps cheap BS and those completely nauseated by it. Will it heal in time?
