Why do people willingly or even eagerly sit there listening to him gas on about how awesome Donald Trump is and how stupid everybody else is? My God. If he were a regular person at a family reunion, people would sprain their ankles running away from him.

His life must be one long orgasm these days... not only does he get to talk about himself nonstop, he gets his big orange face all over every news channel in the country every time he does. It's like Donald Trump's wettest dream on steroids.

Notice they cut out of Bernie's rally earlier and allow Trump to go on and on and on and on and on...

Neither Clinton nor Sanders is at a point to say anything. All the Clinton surrogates are keeping quiet.

I don't mean to be paranoid/1984 about this, but I assume that technology has progressed beyond having people fill out little Nielsen booklets.

Maybe MSNBC and CNN think that people watch this because we're interested, but really, most of us are simply waiting for the actual news to resume, and as we wait we are actively loathing MSNBC and CNN for not cutting away.

That seems so imprecise and burdensome; I'd never have guessed that was still being done. Well, I guess I can give up on trying to keep the TV on Al Jazeera all the time (too little too late, I know, but I tried to keep it on all the time before they said they were shutting down, too).

Thanks!

You write in the stuff you DVR then put down if you watch a stored program. It really is very crude - but they might get resistance to any other method.

Years and years ago I was a Nielsen Net survey person - they monitored what I was doing on the internet with a program. The first year or so it was OK but then they upgraded their software and it became very intrusive. I was transferring video and audio to digital formats and their software really screwed up the recordings. I ended up dropping out which was disappointing - they paid with US Savings bonds. I still have those bonds since they are not fully mature and pay higher interest than anything out there now.

During the period I was on Nielsen Net ratings the time spent by women in my age range increased in their statistics by a very large percent.
