COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -
Coeur d'Alene shooting suspect Kyle Odom was arrested in Washington, D.C. around 5:30pm. He was found throwing things over the fence at the White House and taken into custody by Secret Service agents. Police say he drove his car to Boise then took a flight to Washington, D.C.

But before he did any of that, he sent KHQ a letter that contained a flash drive filled with strange pictures and conspiracy theories.

In a 30+ pages manifesto, Odom wrote that the man he shot, Pastor Tim Remington, was "a martian" and a "member of an ancient civilization from Mars."

Odom, a former Marine and University of Idaho graduate, also wrote a list of more than 70 other noteworthy martians. The list was comprised of local and national religious leaders, politicians, and others including Elizabeth Warren, Nancy Pelosi, Patty Murray, Mitch McConnell and "every single Prime Minister since 1948."

He says President Obama is aware that martians are taking control of people's minds, but does not appear to imply that the President is actually being controlled by a martian

5. I am glad that you are able to control your "reflexive temptation", as mental illness is no joking

matter, and needs to be addressed much better in this Country. Law Enforcement Offices CERTAINLY need to have better training on how to spot, and deal with, people in the middle of a mental crisis when going on a call instead of just shooting first and asking questions later.

I was permanently disabled in an on the job accident in 2003. I broke my neck and back, but was still able to move and walk. I was in shock when the medical personel responded and told them I was fine. They wanted me to go to the hospital and get checked out, but it was a friday, I didn't want to leave my vehicle on the jobsite, and had no one to come get it. I refused medical treatment, and even tried to finish out the day but wound up calling the boss and telling him I was hurting too bad and needed to leave early. I drove myself home and rested over the weekend. I tried to go to work Monday morning, but was hurting so bad that I stopped halfway there and called the boss and told him that I couldn't make it in. He said "I didn't *expect* you to come in today. Take a few days off, with pay, and let me know if you need to go to the doctor". By Wednesday, I couldn't use my arms. I had gone to my parents house over the weekend, and had gone back there on Monday. My mom took me to the ER, where they referred me to an Orthopedic Doctor. The Ortho took an MRI of my neck, and immediately called a Neurosurgeon at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. I could hear him on the phone, and I guess they were trying to set me an appointment for a long time off because I heard him say "NO! You need to see him tomorrow, or I will bring him myself right NOW and admit him to your hospital!"

To make a long story as short as possible, I was at UT the next day with my MRI results. I talked to the Neurosurgeon for a few minutes, then he left to go view my MRI. A little later, he came back in the room and asked "HOW did you even walk in here??" I said "with my feet". He said "What I mean is that I don't know HOW or WHY you are walking at all right now! From the extent of your injuries, you *should* be a quadriplegic in a wheelchair right now." I've had 2 major neck surgeries, and can still walk, but stagger a lot when I do. I've had people think I was drunk. I suffer from anxiety/panic attacks because I wake up some mornings and all I can move is my mouth and eyes, then several minutes later I will start getting feeling back in my body. I have "tethered cord syndrome" at the C-4 level, and if it tears loose I WILL be paralyzed from the neck down, if I don't die first because my automatic reflexes, like breathing, stop working. I suffered through "situational depression" from being told that I would never work again, and I was a workaholic. I worked 6 & 7 days a week, daylight to dark (weather permitting) and that's all I knew. I had 2 speeds... wide open or dead stop. At wok,I was ALWAYS wide open because I loved what I did, and got paid very well for it.

I KNOW the hell of depression and anxiety, but also know people who are way worse off tham I am.

6. I am reading his manifesto....

It is very detailed and well written, nothing like the word salad that Palin exhibits.
Reads more like a novel would.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, a question rises....what if, years down the road, we do find Martians?
