A Jamaican model will reportedly know by month-end whether a lawsuit against the modeling agency owned by United States (US) Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will be proceed.

Reuters news agency is reporting that the model, Alexia Palmer, is accusing Trump Model Management LLC of lying to the federal government in its work-visa application that said she would be paid a US$75,000-a-year salary while living in the US.

The report say according to court papers, "Palmer received a total of US$3,880.75 during the three years she was under contract with the agency".

Palmer has accused Trump's agency of “fraudulent misrepresentation” and violations of US immigration and labor laws.

Her class action lawsuit has reportedly asked for US$225,000 in back pay.

Reuters says the suit was filed in October 2014.-------------
