Trump calls hundreds to thousands of deaths a "riot" and endorsed the massacre

In the Saturday March 11 debate Trump called the deaths after Tiananmen a "riot".

Hundreds to thousands of people were killed by Chinese authorities as a result of the Tiananmen Square protests (even the Chinese government acknowledges over 200).

In 1990, he endorsed the massacre:

“The Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength. That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak.”

Not sure the reality lives up to the iconic status, but still.
