The right’s shocking admission: Stunned by Trump’s dominance, some GOP pundits concede that Dems have been right about Republicans all along

"SNIP...............

It was always inevitable, I suppose. The Republican Party has debased itself for decades – courting racists, placating religious lunatics, and using the culture wars as a political wedge. Candidates like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin are natural outgrowths of this conservative ecosystem; they’re exactly what you’d expect it to produce.

This is the climate Republicans have cultivated, and what we’re seeing now is the logical conclusion of those efforts.

The GOP establishment continues to eat itself from within, as officials scramble to make sense of it all. You might call it an identity crisis of sorts. Longtime Republicans are now questioning the party’s broader strategy. Here’s Bret Stephens, a conservative columnist for the Wall Street Journal:

“Liberals may have been fond of claiming that Republicans were all closet bigots and that tax cuts were a form of racial prejudice, but the accusation rang hollow because the evidence for it was so tendentious. Not anymore. The candidacy of Donald Trump is the open sewer of American conservatism…It would be terrible to think that the left was right about the right all these years.”

Watch for the rise of mini-Trumps running for office all over the country in the next election. The Democratic Party will continue it's slide to the right, seemingly unaware it's filling the vacuum left by old Republican Party.

of 1200 coordinated fascist radio stations that have been kicking our ass for 25 years, since shortly after reagan killed the fairness doctrine.

when liberal orgs finally do something about rw radio, like demanding these 90 universities stop supporting it, the monopoly will fall apart and the country will go to its natural state about 20 points to the left.

until then it's just going to keep getting worse and the pundits and scholars who read and watch tv will keep missing it, and the left will keep listening to music and whining and blaming their 'spineless' reps while those 1200 radio stations take free potshots at the sanders and wellstones and warrens, making sure there will be very few of them.

but it seems a few republicans and maybe some dems are starting to actually get it right, blaming talk radio for trump

The last time we went this far was the early 20th century. It all fell apart after the Roaring 20s. It's just a matter of time before it collapses again and we wake up that making the rich richer doesn't improve the lives of all.

Now if we could just get Hillary Clinton supporters to acknowledge that she and her husband have converted the Democratic Party into a party of the upper 0.1% and big business.

If we could get supporters of the establishment of both political parties to acknowledge what they've become, we would have a chance for real progress in this country.
