<snip>

GREEN BAY — Less than 24 hours after it was passed by the Republican-controlled Senate, Gov. Scott Walker signed an online voter registration bill into law Wednesday morning. The bill also adds another form of identification to the state's voter ID law.

The measure Walker signed privately at the state Capitol will allow people to go online and register to vote starting next spring.

But the administration doesn't want it up by then.

The main thrust of the bill kills voter registration drives... pretty cool huh?

It eliminates special registration deputies who complete a government-approved training program to help people sign up to vote.
