House Could Be In PlayBy Taegan Goddard

"SNIP.................
Cook Political Report: So many assumptions have been wrong this cycle that its difficult to be definitive about another: that the House majority wont be in play in 2016.
Republicans are sitting on their largest majority since 1928 247 seats to 188 meaning Democrats would need to pick up 30 seats, a daunting challenge given the GOPs immense redistricting advantage and the vaporization of swing districts. But all cycle, Democrats have daydreamed about Republicans nominating an extremely polarizing presidential candidate, and suddenly its almost certain they will get their wish.

(14,400 posts)2. Gawd I wish
but I hesitate to hope. The pukes have been so effective at Gerrymandering over the last 20 years that it's not going to be easy.
That being said, having Drumpf or Cruz at the top of the ticket might just be enough to keep the more sane of their supporters at home this year.

We could retake both the Senate and the House

(23,336 posts)4. GOP has done a good job of gerrymandering the districts
They can nominate any loser they want, and not lose the House.
The Senate, maybe.

but I think we're going to put a serious dent in that margin.

To have these kook republicans in charge of anything above an animal control unit is an indictment of our society.

(33,554 posts)7. only if the DNC and that means DWS
has a 50 State campaign. And I doubt she will.

(90,625 posts)8. Voter ID laws and gerrymandered districts will make it much harder. But not impossible.
Little prayers here....
