These same 4 mega-banks have, thus far, been immune to the consequences of any and all of their terrible decisions that places the entire world economy in jeopardy.

(57,936 posts)Also, Citigroup had a lot to do with the bailout and the 2008 crisis. At least a couple of these banks owned bad mortgages and foreclosed on customers.

I realize that it is part of our history, but it limits the opportunities for competition and increases the likelihood of intentional or tacit collusion and corruption in a democracy. We see it everywhere around us.
The trade agreements are a prime example of the problems this concentration of wealth and power creates.
