It's SPRING!

1. it's been spring for quite some time

at least this far south (Kansas City).

Ironically enough, I've had to run heat for the last two days, something I have not done for almost three weeks.

Again. like last night, trying to keep my early budding lilacs from freezing.

Supposed to warm up a bit tomorrow though.

2. Raining here in southern MD,

forecast snow for nw MD not happening, cooler than it has been. Interested to see status of DC cherry blossoms.

7. We had our a/c on last week. In March!

We've been here in Chapel Hill since 2000. (Used to live in St. Joseph, just up the road from you!)
I can remember refusing to put the a/c on in April. But March? Crazy. It was in the 80's here last week.

6. Hard to believe those cherry trees are in full bloom in March!

I came up last April to see/photograph the cherry trees in full bloom. And there were a LOT more people walking along
the footpaths!

8. Cold here n KC yesterday and today.

But not winter like. Trees are starting to turn green. Blooming trees are everywhere. Forsythia are blooming. I love this time of year.

I think we need more rain. All the big storms missed us this year so we had a pretty dry winter.

13. Right, Trudy, the 'boring' is one of the things

that keeps me from CA and FL!

Like, when cashiers etc, say have a 'great day.' I don't want every day to be 'great,' because after a while NOthing would be really great (in my simple mind!)
