Boy, the media is so thick. Trump didn't cause the hatred.

Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, etc. have been preaching and fomenting this hatred until it has become an oozing pussy boil. Everyone I've talked to who says they're voting for trump is a Fox News watcher.

And even fox is now scared of him. But they were the ones who made those trump followers as surely as they had been molding him in the back room of the studio out off their putrid venom.

But what I don't understand is why the rest of the media don't see it, don't get it. They blame trump for his army being hateful. Bullshit. They blame the economy. Bullshit. They blame the state of the country.

Again, bullshit!

Republican eyes and ears have been riveted for 8 years to people who have told them daily over and over that the president is garbage, the country is drowning, and they along with. (Despite the very opposite of what is happening in the real world)

And so we see the rise of a man who is probably close to being illiterate, yet 1000 percent street wise. No, he didn't cause the hatred, probably could give a shit himself about any of it. But he sees the opportunity to manipulate those who have been steeped in hate.

Good job, Murdock, Rush, Rove, Cheney, O'Reilly, Hannity, Ann, et al. !!!

unprecedented immigration of the illegal kind, just the opposite is true

they believe he has harmed the economy when he has turned it around and quite frankly performed miracles...

So when they are told the Spanish speaking woman cleaning their room at the Days Inn is the reason their life isnt better, they believe it.

3. I personally do not think the media created the hatred as much as they gave them a voice.

In the past KKK and other violent people reasonably did not have a public voice. Local radio and TV saw them as ignorant people and those groups were left with handling out pamphlets on the street. But one the advent of the internet, it became easier for those of like minds to find easy other. Whereas before a community might have 10 or 20 racists that knew each other, now you can talk to thousands of like minded people. Media now found an audience and that audience grew. People who lost their factory jobs because management shipped the work overseas now hated immigrants. People who were not able to get a job they wanted years ago because of hiring quotas became racists.

6. If I was to pick a starting point it may have been with Pat and Jim & Tammy Fae. Not hatred at first

but it sure morphed into it as it went along. It would have to be the Charismatic movement of the 70's, the speaking in tongues etc. It would never have started with out Pat and the first satellite. He was smart. He purchased a transponder on a satellite, everyone else leased them. That is why ABC-Family always has to have 700 club on that transponder. He found that "Love" did not bring in as much money as hatred did.

7. They blame Trump to absolve the entire GOP and their own culpability in not calling out the GOP

on its hate-mongering.

If it's Trump doing it, then the GOP can't be blamed.

If it's Trump doing it - the press is merely reporting it, and not adding to it or mitigating the GOP's role.

It's the - It's Trump, not us - type of distancing that both the GOP and the press is cultivating.
