George Will shreds Drumpf’s new Republican Party: ‘He’s appealing entirely to white people’

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/03/george-will-shreds-trumps-new-republican-party-hes-appealing-entirely-to-white-people/

Conservative columnist George Will predicted over the weekend that Donald Trump would destroy the Republican Party as it exists today because his campaign strategy was to only attract white voters....

“The problem is this,” Will told Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday. “Not only are his negatives at 61 percent — almost double his positives, they are at 32 percent — but he’s appealing entirely to white people.”

“[Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney] got 17 percent — that’s all — of the non-white vote,” he continued. “Trump, by every measure, would do worse than that. Which means he would not have to get just the 65 percent of the white vote to win that Ronald Reagan got, sweeping 49 states. He would have to get 70 percent of the white vote.”

Will concluded: “A, it won’t happen and B, it would destroy the Republican Party by making it the party of white people.”

It isn't already? And what about Ben Carson?

C'mon George, you can fight the Trump in your party! You can do it! Just believe in the power of your bow-tie!

I really don't want to share a party with you...Conservative Democrats are already a pernicious threat to my sanity and well-being.

I want less formerly-Republican and DLC/Third-Way in my tent.

in polite terms. The only difference between George Will and Donald Trump is that Donald Trump isn't polite about his criticisms of non-white people. George Will's obsession with non-white people is at least as consuming as Donald Trump's, and at least Donald Trump has a few black associates/friends like Don King and Mike Tyson.

did I think? This person is not very political but he is the demographic that people keep saying Trump appeals to but let's be honest , you would have to be also misplaced angry and pretty racist to go with Trump and sort of out of touch.
I am probably not going to be interacting socially with racists he appeals to but my point is Trump will never get all of the white male vote either, and maybe even less than predicted

Movement Conservatives didn't (and still don't) have enough people, and their actual policies didn't (and still don't) have enough voter support. Trump's support comes from the very same people who made the "Reagan Revolution" possible. Republicans have spent 30 years (conservatives longer than that) demonizing liberals and Democrats, rejecting the very concept of compromise as treasonous.

And don't just blame it on other people, George. How many times have you invoked Munich, Chamberlain, and appeasement on any treaty negotiation you didn't like?

This is your mess, George. You Built That. All I can say is that I wish Bill Buckley were still alive just so he could witness it too.
