"We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized," Cruz insisted, effectively calling for a police state.

Cruz was unable to name a single neighborhood nor was he able to describe what actions law enforcement should be able to take to "patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods," but his words were clear....

"As far as the notion of having surveillance of neighborhoods where Muslims are present, I just left a country that engages in that kind of neighborhood surveillance," Obama told reporters. "Which by the way, the father of Senator Cruz escaped – for America. The land of the free," the President said with a touch of snark, almost mocking the Texas Tea Party Senator.

"The notion that we would start down that slippery slope makes absolutely no sense. it's contrary to who we are, and it's not going to help us defeat ISIL," the President said.

2. One of the experts speaking today mentioned

that one of the reasons the US does not have Europe's problems is that we do NOT place Muslims/Arabs in slums where antagonism rages. We assimilate. Just where are these "Muslim" neighborhoods Cruz wants patrolled? What a putz.

the problem we have created. We can go back to the riots in LA or Detroit or ... it is much about our segregated communities and why they are an awful blight upon our history and our own current problems.
