While I think the objectification of women is obscene, there is a difference when it cones to politics.

A wife who is onstage, smiling & waving, as she supports her husband, or who just introduces him , should never be subjected to snarky comments ...

BUT

when she ALLOWS/ENCOURAGES her "use" in political ads and makes political statements, all bets are off..

The same goes for kids.

Small kids who are just "there" ...being cute..should never be made an issue, BUT when Daddy (or Mommy) puts them in commercials..saying political things, they become a part of the campaign, and their presence is no longer benign, even if they are too young to understand it.

The problem is with their parents, but asking the media/public to NOT say anything is unreasonable.

Melania is an adult and has pretty much stayed out of the "politics" of it all.. She has said very little, and was probably expecting photos of her younger years to pop up.

Donald is a blithering idiot, but he has not "used" his family all that much. His grown kids made their own choice to participate, but they have not said disparaging things about other candidates.. Every time I have seen them, they have talked up their Dad..and that's been it.

Cruz wants it both ways..

His people run dirty ads, pull dirty tricks and then he cries foul when they retaliate.

Cruz has only himself to blame if he feels that his family has been "put upon"..

1. I recall Cruz dragging his kids all over Iowa. The little girl was obviously

scared and distressed in many of photos. I do not know if he still does it. Have not seen it lately. It was wrong for him to do this. A few times--that is fine but he did it constantly back then.

Focus all attacks on the candidate and his or her positions on the issues, not spouses and children.
