American Airlines pilot arrested in front of passengers after failing sobriety test

An American airlines pilot was arrested Saturday on the runway as shocked passengers looked on after he failed a breathalyzer test at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

Flight 736, scheduled to leave Detroit about 7 a.m. en route to Philadelphia, was immediately canceled, according to ABC affiliate WXYZ.

A transportation security agent was the first person to spot the pilot acting suspiciously, the station reported. Minutes before the flight was to take off, airport police were called

Silly me. I thought it was only passengers who had to be drunk to fly these days. Vinca Mar 2016 #6

They once stranded me in Atlanta because the captain was in a bad mood, and decided he didn't want any dogs on the flight (though I had a ticket for the dog and had flown in on another American flight). That was my final flight on American; they had previously messed with me in other random ways.

American is random and capricious; they seem to hate their passengers.

rarely fly them, but when I do, something goes wrong EVERY time. Using up some miles on a flight soon, and that will be it for them...
