This video fills me with hope today (Free hugs at Trump/Sanders rallies)
If you haven't watched this video please take a minute to enjoy it. I've seen it 3 times now and I've cried each time.
It reminded me of how it feels to be in a rally full of people filled with love, hope, and joy and are ready to make a positive difference in our world. Instead of thinking of the difference between the reactions of the Trump v. Sanders supporters in this video the longer the peaceful and loving hugfest went on the more it reminded me of attending Obama's rallies in 2008. When I lifted my head from call sheets long enough to find out he was coming to Charlotte, he was already our Democratic presidential nominee and the primary was behind us.
I had gathered a pack of hard working volunteers and told them we were stopping for the afternoon to be a part of history in the making because I knew he was our future President. Our group included those who had work on Obama and Clinton campaigns and we all came together at that rally and felt that feeling I see here in this video. It was A feeling that we were all on the right side of the fight for our country and we had to work together to make sure it happened. It was beautiful. I honestly can't wait until the primary is over and we can hunker down together, stand with our candidate, and make that happen again.
Man, it feels GREAT to be on this side of that political spectrum!! #DeanScream!!!
