DUBLIN, Ohio — The Trump National Doral Miami will not host a PGA Tour event next year, according to media reports and Donald Trump.

Butch Buchholz, tournament chairman of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship at Trump National, told the Miami Herald that the PGA Tour informed him Tuesday night that a decision has been made for the tournament to leave South Florida for an undetermined venue in Mexico City.

“I just heard that the PGA Tour is taking their tournament out of Miami and moving it to Mexico,” Trump said. “They're moving it to Mexico City which, by the way, I hope they have kidnapping insurance. But they're moving it to Mexico City.”

As a golf viewer I've seen several events at his courses. He always gets air time (in a baseball hat of course) and he has his TRUMP helicopter in full view between tees and greens. He and his name are impossible to miss.
