And then there was the time that his deputies did arrest a BLM ranger they said was illegally issuing citations to campers ...

The U.S. and the Mormon Nauvoo Legion were at odds at one time.

At one point, a wagon train of more than 120 California-bound settlers from Arkansas, Missouri and other states, including unarmed men, women and children, were killed in remote southwestern Utah by a group of local Mormon militiamen.
