Tennessee Doctor Says His Clinic Wont Administer Vaccines Anymore Because They Can Cause Autism
June 2, 2016 by Hemant Mehta 251 Comments
Cool Springs Family Medicine in Franklin, Tennessee is one of those places that embraces integrative medicine, a buzzword that refers to care that goes beyond medicine
to things like alternative medicine and other sham treatments. At worst, youd think thats just a waste of time and money.
But this particular clinic just went from not-helpful to downright dangerous.
The staff announced this week that they would no longer administer vaccines to patients because and Im quoting here they can cause Autism.
Says Dr. Daniel Kalb:
yes, Ive had 15 years experience in taking care of ASD kids, thats a lot of vaccine injury stories from moms. Dont tell me that they are making it up or they are just reaching for an explanation, or that it was a coincidence or that they are just too stressed, or that they are uninformed. All of those arguments are stupid.
As someone whos not a doctor, I still feel perfectly qualified to tell Kalb, MD, MPH, FAAFP that he needs to STFU.
Yes, these mothers are desperate for an explanation for why their children are acting in certain ways. Vaccines which they dont understand are perfect scapegoats.

(5,075 posts)And you have to work pretty hard to be compensated for any vaccine related injury that is acknowledged.
"According to the CDC, from 2006 to 2014 over 2.5 billion doses of covered vaccines were distributed in the U.S. For petitions filed in this time period, 3,477 petitions were adjudicated by the Court, and of those 2,211 were compensated. This means for every 1 million doses of vaccine that were distributed, 1 individual was compensated.
Since 1988, over 17,028 petitions have been filed with the VICP. Over that 27 year time period, 14,602 petitions have been adjudicated, with 4,687 of those determined to be compensable, while 9,915 were dismissed. Total compensation paid over the life of the program is approximately $3.3 billion."
