No regulations for chemicals added to children's clothing

Some doctors are now warning that what you're wearing could be dangerous to your health -- especially your children. In fact, while there are legal limitations for chemicals in children's toys, there are no regulations for children's clothing. ...........

2. Nothing New - Ever heard of Poison Green Fabric?

Quilt collectors love to find antique quilts with poison green calico fabric. This distinctive green color was pre-civil war and arsenic was used in the dye process. It would be washed out in the cotton fabrics, but stayed around longer in the woolens as they were seldom cleaned. It was reported that men died after wearing a suit made completely of green fabric.

Cotton: a water wasting crop

Because, yeah, fuck their water supplies.

"Greenpeace found that when they retested clothes after washing them more than once, they contained only a fraction or none of the dangerous chemicals."

Yes, let's engage in water-intensive pesticide-intensive agriculture and destroy vast regions of the planet, because we don't ever wash our clothes.

Great plan.

Fascinating how the reporter managed to find someone selling a line of clothing for the report. Just amazing how that happens.
