If you're anti-free trade, do you support the Brexit?

(it also eliminates the right of other EU workers to freely travel to the UK for jobs).

2. What does "anti-free trade" mean?

Does it mean that environmental and labor considerations should merit equal priority in international trade agreements, and that trade agreements should be worked out with representatives advocating for those areas? Or is "free trade" solely the province of capital and business interests, even though everyone has to live under whatever regime gets worked out among the big money boys?

3. That's a kind of shallow and simplistic bit of nonsense.

The EU common trade area is not a similar thing at all to TPP or TTIP (worth noting that there's major opposition to the latter in France and Germany, while the clear benefits of the EU common trade area are broadly recognised). Brexit is less about trade than it is about other things (including resentment at "uncontrolled immigration" of EU nationals "coming to take British jobs"; the resentments there are similar to the resentments of Trump supporters about "Mexican illegals coming to take American jobs". I live in the UK, so my opinion is probably considerably more informed than most people's, here; I support the UK remaining part of the EU, and at the same time I'm opposed to TTIP (which may be a "free trade" deal but it also looks to achieve its goal of "free trade" by dragging EU standards on worker, environmental and consumer protection down to the frankly shitty-in-comparison ones that prevail in the US).

5. If I open a factory in Mississippi I can ship goods to New York to my heart's content,

sell them there, and not have to worry about quotas or paying tariffs to anyone. Is that not "free trade"?

Also, someone from Germany can open a factory in Spain and sell the stuff they make in Belgium, thanks to the EU, again not worrying about quotas or tariffs. Or is this just a "myth"?

6. We're not talking about shipping goods from Miss to NY state

Or high-wage European nations trading with each other.

If the term "free labor migration" is used, we're talking about shipping good paying jobs to slave-labor nations such as China, Mexico, and Malaysia.

Quit playing dumb. Thanks in advance.

11. No, we *are* talking about high-wage European nations trading with each other

That's the whole point. This is about Britain and its trade, and movement of labour, with the rest of the EU. And by "free labour migration", we mean EU citizens moving around the EU without restriction for work - someone from Poland coming to work in the UK, for example (and then the question of services like education and healthcare, and benefits like unemployment benefit if they then lose their job).

8. Trump and the British far-right support Brexit. Sanders and most of the British left oppose it.

The British far-right says it wants to continue 'free trade' with the rest of Europe so I am not sure what support or opposition to 'free trade' has to do with Brexit. They just want to effectively build a yuuuuuuge wall with the rest of Europe to keep out immigrants.

because the EU is the world's wealthiest failed state.

But I am not going to vote because I will not be in the UK living with the result.
