Why does he bother having guests? They end up looking like guppies struggling for air as they try to get a word in edgewise.

I don't dislike him as a person, but I don't get why nobody has had an intervention, because his constant talking and interrupting make his show unwatchable.

ago. It was at a business event in D.C. and there were several pundits and politicians at the banquet.

Bill Bradley and Jim Lehrer were being honored and my table included George Will, Mary Matalin and Chris Mathews.

The conversation was cordial and got lively at times, but nothing controversial.

Mathews didn't say a word for nearly two hours.

I was sitting next to George Will and we talked almost exclusively about baseball.

Not to mention the fast talking.

(We speak slower than his style in the Midwest, though not all Easterners speak at his speed.)
