"Part of the problem with all these campus rapes is political correctness" --friend of Brock

This was in her letter to the judge who then decided 6 months was plenty of punishment

http://nymag.com/thecut/2016/06/brock-turners-friend-pens-letter-of-support.html

I don’t think it’s fair to base the fate of the next ten + years of his life on the decision of a girl who doesn’t remember anything but the amount she drank to press charges against him. I am not blaming her directly for this, because that isn’t right. But where do we draw the line and stop worrying about being politically correct every second of the day and see that rape on campuses isn’t always because people are rapists.

Because saying political correctness causes rape isn't terrible enough, she had to add in the argument that there's something about being on campus that turns law abiding citizens into rapists.

While we do live in a rape culture--this case is a perfect reflection of it and this comment embodies it, rape culture itself doesn't "cause" rape, it makes it socially acceptable to rapists and potential rapists.

The majority of young men live in a rape culture and manage not to rape anyone. What an asshole comment. You rape? You are a rapist.

That is the insidious part of rape culture... the victims buy into their own guilt.

Puny, sick, insecure Republicans twisting reality into perverse concepts that they cling to in an effort to sustain their feeble, fragile masculine egos.

So I'm not quite sure what kind of ego she's trying to sustain but she's a fucking idiot either way.

One does not need to look far among the GOP ranks to find them...

Just as Clarence Thomas (R) has voluntarily enlisted in the unholy GOP Racial politics of Division.

It doesn't matter how much she drank. If she hadn't been around a rapist, she wouldn't have been raped. Alcohol doesn't rape people.
