Two Texas valedictorians declare undocumented status. Outrage ensues.

Hooray for these young women. Appalled by the attacks on them.

"In Ms. Ibarra’s case, the outrage over her tweet led her to delete her Twitter account. One critic, Hillary Shay Davis, who has a daughter who graduated with Ms. Ibarra, said she believed that the teenager was proud of “taking advantage of the system.”

“I have never thought about deporting a child who graduated from a U.S. high school and fought against the odds to be successful. Until this moment,” Ms. Davis wrote on Facebook. She added, “Something else that I have NEVER thought I would support until this moment is Trump and #buildthatwall.”

Versions of this sentiment echoed throughout social media."

So, Ms. Davis, are you upset because someone took better advantage of the opportunities presented than your own daughter did? By the way, you're not fooling me for a second when you claim that you never thought about deporting children or building a border wall. If those cruel notions suddenly appeal to you, it isn't because of anything that kid in your daughter's school did.

"It's because of the Mexicans/Jews/"others" that I can't be successful!"

Trump is exploiting that masterfully. "Let's build a wall and keep those Nasty Others out and then you'll have your rightful success!"

...her less capable daughter would have ranked higher in her class. We must protect American Mediocrity!

It's all about competition.

So many of Trump's base are all for "social darwinism" and maids and gardeners until they realize that they can be out-competed.

The dimwits can't stand a little competition.
