The Media Has Their Tag Line! "The Worst Mass Shooting in US History"

Next to come: the sad - yet catchy - theme music that will intro every goddamned report.

Will it be the sad solo piano riff? The subdued strings? The mournful oboe? These are the things the media is concerned about at a time like this.

That's the problem when they declare a new highest body count. It will not be long before somebody seeks to eclipse the old record.

Mass shootings have become the "there's nothing that can be done" issue of our time.

There's something rooted deeply in our collective national psyche that prevents us from dealing with gun-related issues in a way that makes obvious sense to most Americans.
