Mixcloud Project - PULSE (IN MEMORIAM)
When I woke up on Sunday morning, dragged myself into the living room, and turned on the television, I started hearing news reports about some asshole shooting up a gay nightclub in Orlando. Then I heard the casualty toll jumped to 50 dead and 53 injured.
I wanted to go back to bed.
I was numb. I watched the press conferences and the smartphone footage in stunned disbelief.
And then, as a way of coping, I created my first Mixcloud project in four months to honor the victims. Of course, knowing me, it couldn't be anything ordinary or commonplace. But it wasn't supposed to be this short. Those killed at Pulse deserved more than 14 lousy minutes.
A lot more.
But at least there's 14, for what it's worth. And they reflect my quiet rage and bewilderment from watching these events unfold.
