Some brilliant and subtle effects like split screens to achieve deep focus.

And then there is the pterodactyl at the garden party from some background footage (from King Kong) they re used.

Brilliant story and a major achievement in film making.

There were no car chases, no multiple views of explosions in
slow motion, no nudity, no one getting shot or tortured,
no rapes. In fact, the only physical violence is Kane slapping
his second wife only once.
It wasn't even in color!!1
All it did was have five people telling the same story
over and over.
Boring!
