Drunk, stoned, and well armed

Dammit, my state is so beautiful. But why do we insist on running for the title "North Florida"?

Is it the peninsula thing? Do peninsula shaped states have a particular effect on their residents which promotes criminal level stupidity?

Police: Motorist stopped for waving guns in each hand on I-75

Robert Allen, Detroit Free Press 11:13 a.m. EDT June 14, 2016

A driver reportedly seen pointing two guns — one in each hand — out a window on I-75 was stopped Saturday evening in Troy, police said.

The ensuing search at southbound I-75 near Crooks Road resulted in police finding four guns, 134 rounds of ammunition, an open bottle of vodka and evidence of recent marijuana use, according to a news release from Troy Police Department. There were four male occupants in the red Ford Edge, and a witness also reported seeing one of the passengers pointing an "assault-type rifle," according to the news release.

Further investigating showed all the guns were properly registered, and two of the occupants were concealed pistol licence holders.

The firearms include a Glock 17 handgun with a 30-round magazine, a Ruger SR9c pistol, a Draco 39-mm pistol with a drum barrel containing 59 rounds, and another Draco 39-mm pistol with a 30-round magazine. More ammunition was also found, police said.

That would be a Bofors anti-aircraft gun with a very short barrel. Would be lethal, at least to the shooter.

A 39mm round would be bigger than the ones used by the USAF A-10 tank killers.
That "Draco 39-mm" should be "Draco 7.62x39mm". (It is an AK-47 clone.)

seriously, what? teeth? knees? dick?

hell, apparently he had another 2 guns in his car, maybe he does a circus act where he straps them to his legs like Bayonetta? or he has extra arms like a Hindu god?

and he does all this while drinking Vodka and smoking weed? shit, if i drink significant alcohol and smoke any herb (or vice versa), i get sick pretty quick. this guy is amazing, he can drink, light up, and drive down the freeway waving 2 guns at once. that's multi-tasking and intense macho empowerment all rolled up in one happy little bouquet.

normally when i read an article along these lines, i think "yeah lock that fucker up and burn his driver's license while you're at it", and this time is no exception, but i can't help feeling like a sideshow somewhere just lost some interesting potential talent.

Has our gun fetish gotten so bad that people think a sawed off assault rifle would be the PERFECT pistol?

The company that makes it might call it a pistol, but that's a load of shit. We don't call a sawed off shotgun a pistol, do we? So why the fuck are we calling what is essentially a sawed off assault rifle a pistol?

The definitions are:

Pistol. A weapon originally designed, made, and intended to fire a projectile (bullet) from one or more barrels when held in one hand, and having (a) a chamber(s) as an integral part(s) of, or permanently aligned with, the bore(s); and (b) a short stock designed to be gripped by one hand and at an angle to and extending below the line of the bore(s).

Rifle. A weapon designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder, and designed or redesigned and made or remade to use the energy of the explosive in a fixed metallic cartridge to fire only a single projectile through a rifled bore for each single pull of the trigger.

Short-barreled rifle. A rifle having one or more barrels less than 16 inches in length, and any weapon made from a rifle, whether by alteration, modification, or otherwise, if such weapon, as modified, has an overall length of less than 26 inches.

So to answer your last question they get to call it a pistol because the government says they can.
