The First Family Heads West

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia Obama and Sasha Obama leave the White House before boarding Marine One on the South Lawn. The First Family is traveling to New Mexico and tour Carlsbad Caverns National Park to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of America’s national park system.

Thanks President Obama. You and your family have graced this White House with love and respect. You calmed us all those years ago when you entered that House during our worst financial crisis. Your wit and self depreciating humor made us laugh when we might have cried. We have gained much respect around the world that we lost under Bush.

You have been calm and steady, taking it one step at a time. You knew that this was a long game and would never happen overnight. Your calm and steady leadership brought us this far. Soon another will take your place. Your revolution will continue.

That touched me, as they do all the time. I am so happy to be graced with this family, this President, in such a terrible atmosphere. In my life he's been the smartest and the best. I see no one who will match this class act. Peace to the Obamas!

They are always paired Malia and Obama, who looks just like her dad and Sasha and Michele who looks just like her mom.

They make a good family unit. I will miss them terribly. Yet they will move on and I await what they will all do next.

They have done us proud.

they may as well have gone to Mexico!

Wish they'd come up to Santa Fe. I'd love to see them walking along the Palace of the Governors and chatting with the Native Americans who are selling their wonderful stuff there.
