I would like to apologize to all DU members for a link I used which was from a right

wing site. I posted the link based on a google I did in response to the author of an article in an OP, and should have checked the site where I was posting from. There was also a despicable cartoon which I did not focus on, and that would have told me clearly what kind of site that was.

I apologize to all fellow DUers

No excuse, it deserved the hide it received

And you didn't see the cartoon? Really, the five-inch tall, brightly colored image at the top of the page that you have to scroll past to see the article that you excerpted from eluded your eye?

The problem isn't so much what you posted - don't get me wrong, it's plenty bad - but the root issue is why you posted it. A Salon writer - Ben Norton - wrote something critical of Hillary Clinton. Your immediate impulse appears to have been to google up the nastiest, most low-down, damning "dirt" on Mr. Norton that you could find, and throw it up on DU without a second glance to try to convince others to hate him.

It's nice that you're apologizing, but maybe work on the root problem - that impulse to respond with raw anger if a politician you like is challenged in any form. Forget the potential for hides, that kind of thing is probably bad for your health.

this little incident will make you so observant of sources, other's and your own, that this little kerfuffle will have been a good growing experience.

Now lets go our there and kick Trump's butt and change Congress!

isnt me, I don't post those kinds of links, nor do I personally go after fellow DUers

I can understand in this political environment if you doubt what I am saying, but that isn't what I engage in, and no I won't do it again, because I realize that I reacted without fully reading the link I posted. I actually am self critical, and try to learn from my short comings

Evidently, because now it is our candidate and they have a D after their name, it is OK -- becoming commonplace around here. It was an outrageously right-wing hit job and one didn't even have to read it to see the party behind it had an agenda.
