Now, why was he able to do this? Well, the answer to that question is simple: The Republican party.”

Sen. Charles Schumer Exposed Republicans for Supporting Domestic Terrorism:

“The one undeniable issue when it comes to this shooting is that a person who had been on a terror watch list previously, who also had a documented history of violence, was still able to legally purchase the very guns he’d use a few days later to murder 49 people and wound 53 others. Now, why was he able to do this? Well, the answer to that question is simple: The Republican party.”

It is because we have the best government money can buy. It represents the desires of the highest bidders instead of the needs of the citizenry.

Should he have been denied a weapons license? Rightly or wrongly, guns are legal in this country. I think there should be some rubber glove type of background checks before these types of weapons are sold.

But the licensing agency saw no reason to deny him. Is being suspected of a crime enough to forfeit rights enjoyed by others? Felons can't vote after they get out of prison. Should the test be "you were suspected in an armed robbery 3 years ago, but not convicted. So you can't vote in this election."
