Jose Diaz-Balart on this morning's MTP when talking about the "organic" effort to stop Trump at the convention.

Paraphrasing: My Dad had a combover. People with a combover think that you think the combover is actually real hair. But everybody KNOWS its a combover. The notion that the resurgent Dump Trump forces at the upcoming convention is an "organic" grass roots phenomenon. Yet we have all sorts of long term party insiders deeply involved in it and tightly coordinating it. THAT'S A COMBOVER, folks!"

Very true, but also made me laugh.

Again, this is a paraphrase. If you can catch MTP in one of its many reruns today, do so. It was a funny comment that made great sense.

His hair cannot withstand the rigors of a campaign. It requires constant attention, A/C, no humidity, no wind and NO TOUCHING. His Bedhead, I imagine, is deeply disturbing.

"that" clause, so I can't figure out what you mean. Since the combover analogy looks interesting and clever, I actually would like to understand what notion is a combover.
