Holy gold plated shit: The infighting in Trumpville is EPIC

According to a former Trump operative, Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski regularly screams at his 27-year-old press secretary Hope Hicks, bringing her to tears on more than one occasion.

The Daily Beast‘s Olivia Nuzzi profiled Hicks for GQ, speaking to some of her former colleagues to get a better picture of her position with the Trump campaign. According to former operative Sam Nunberg, her relationship with Lewandowski is rocky at best.

One particular outburst came when Hicks wanted to leave the campaign to return to a non-campaign PR position at Trump Tower. “You made a big f***ing mistake; you’re f***ing dead to me,” he told Hicks, bringing her to tears.

Lewandowski denies the incident happened. “I can say definitively that I don’t recall the specific incident that you’re referring to,” he told Nuzzi.

Trump’s hotheaded campaign manager first made headlines when he was arrested for grabbing a female reporter, an act he denied happened but was caught on camera. The charges were later dropped, but before that stories emerged that Lewandowski had a history of making abusive, sexist, and sexual remarks to his female coworkers.

Nunberg, for his part, makes no bones about his hatred for Lewandowski, who got him fired from the campaign in a power move. “I literally will suck the f***ing blood out of his skull by the time I’m done with him,” he told Nuzzi.

I laughed out loud when I read that.I've yet to see a Trump surrogate or campaign aide who doesn't seem unhinged. Lewandowski will still have Trump's ear, this was a bone thrown to the GOP establishment who are still clinging to the feeble hope that the problem is his campaign organization and not Trump himself.

That if these tough-talking mama's boys spent even half their time working at their jobs as they do thinking up tough-guy-sounding threats, Trump might actually be mounting a serious campaign. Instead, they seem to have spent all their productive hours thinking up nonsensical stuff like sucking the blood out of someone's skull. Is that like trying to drink whiskey from a bottle of wine?

I am not sure how they can actually produce such an event. It's three days of content. It seems easy but it's not. They don't have their Big Names ready to go for Trump. They don't have any civilian endorsers of wide appeal. Lots of time to fill, not much on deck to fill it with.

This is going to be very, very entertaining.

Trump campaign staffers get into public screaming match

http://pagesix.com/2016/05/19/trump-campaign-staffers-get-into-public-screaming-match/

There’s big drama between the top advisers at the Trump campaign.

Donald Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks and campaign manager Corey Lewandowski were seen having a public screaming match on the street in Manhattan on Wednesday night. Onlookers were stunned to see Hicks, 27, hollering at Lewandowski, 42, in plain view of passersby on 61st Street near Park Avenue.

One witness told us, “Hope was screaming at Corey, ‘I am done with you!’ It was ugly, she was doubled over with her fists clenched. He stood there looking shocked with his hands on his head.” Other sources insist the street showdown was about how to handle the announcement that seasoned political operative Paul Manafort would be taking an even larger role in Trump’s campaign, and how Lewandowski’s role would be defined going forward.

Another source told us, “It was a campaign-related disagreement. They were arguing how the announcement about Manafort taking more responsibility would be handled. There is an internal struggle to define what Corey’s role would be.” A third source added, “It was a continuation of a discussion about when the announcement would go out. Corey wanted to wait until Thursday to give him a chance to talk to certain people first. Hicks was under pressure by others to make the announcement sooner.”

Either way, it is a sign of internal discord in the Trump campaign between the Lewandowski and the Manafort camps.

"Corey, can I talk with you about Paul coming on board, and what he's going to be doing?"

"Sure, Hope. But first, can you put on this itchy sweater, and I'm going to put on these shoes that are about a size too small."

"Okay. Hey, this sweater is REALLY itchy."

"Isn't it, though? And these shoes are like little torture chambers for my feet. I'm going to get up and pace while we talk."

"Eugh, the itching! It's almost unbearable. Say, instead of talking here in the office, why don't we go down to the street and hash this out?"

"That's some good thinking, Hope. The walk to the elevator is going to be excruciating, though."
